You are welcome to attend our worship services either online or in person.
We are fortunate to have a government that is doing its best to accommodate the faith communities, but we must do our part to adhere and respect their guidelines. Our recommendation is to follow current government guidelines which allows for 15% capacity to be in attendance for an in person event. Every time a new government announcement comes out we may need to make adjustments based on any changes made by Alberta Health to ensure that guidelines are being adhered to. The key to this recommendation is that this leaves every member and attendee the choice as to how he or she wishes to proceed. Those who wish to attend in person must pre-register online so that capacity is not exceeded. As well, in order to attend in person you must:
- Not have the following symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath, and not have been a close contact of a person who recently tested positive for COVID-19
- Wear a mask at all times.
- Maintain physical distancing between households.
If you are a participating member on stage and will be speaking or reading, you are free to remove your mask while speaking if there is a distance of 2 metres. Worship team members must wear masks at all times.
It would be the desire of the leadership of Beach Corner Church that the entire congregation be able to participate online or in person. Considering there is no perfect course of action, we ask for your understanding and patience in these matters. We also need to be prepared for a complete closure of in person church services at any time, which at such a time, we would encourage all to attend the on-line service.
If you have any concerns regarding the adherence to the Government of Alberta guidelines please contact the church office to receive a further explanation.
